I was out the whole day of Monday, a perfect way to start the week. Argh!
I was to claim my prize in a radio station, in Boni, Mandaluyong; meet a friend somewhere south, SM Sucat to be exact; and then back to Ortigas to watch the movie that was the price from my first trip for the day. But before all of that, I went to buy cake for the office.
I am from Canlalay in Binan, went to the marketplace, a trike-ride away. From the marketplace I went to Tunasan, Muntinlupa to get something. From Muntinlupa, I travelled all the way to Boni in Mandaluyong City, to get the prize, some Energizer stuff and movie tickets. I saw Cong. Ruffy Biazon at the Paragon. Then I went back to south, SM Sucat, to meet my friend, Ghing and this is where the funny story happened.
I never dared to ask anyone for directions on how to go to SM Sucat. Well, I asked one, my cousin, but got no concrete answer from her, helpful 'no? All the while I was thinking that SM Sucat is 'strategically' located along SLEX (South Luzon Expressway), just like SM Bicutan, but lo and behold, when the bus stopped in Sucat where the passengers was to alight, I CAN'T FIND SM SUCAT! Panic starts to prickle my veins slowly. Where the hell is SM Sucat? Whom will I ask for directions? I'm a bit skeptic about going to places that I'm not really familiar since I fear that I might get lost. I bravely approach two women who just alighted the bus before me. I asked where can I ride going to SM Sucat. And surprise! They taught me how to but in their fingers were pointing in different directions! Congratulations!
After braving the streets of Paranaque, I found the jeepney terminal where I can ride and I reached SM Sucat in one piece. I am somehow disgusted with myself. Someone as 'gala' as me doesn't know where SM Sucat is, shame on me!
Lessons Learned: Don't assume! :))
