Friday night, I was on my way home, 2 young men hailed the jeepney I was riding and sat next to me. No, this is not what you think, I didn't get to see what those 2 guys looked like. They were sitting right next to me that it was imposible to take a glimpse of them without being too obvious. Anyways, the story is they we're talking about proposals, yes, wedding proposal! Guy 1 is a friend, I guess and Guy 2 is the one who's asking how to propose right. I know that it's bad to eavesdrop but I can't help it. My 'hopeless romantic' side kicked in until a little later in their tête-à-tête. Their conversation goes something like this:
Guy 1 : Seryoso ka na? Magpo-propose ka na? (Are you serious? You're going to propose to her?)
Guy 1: Eh ang alam ko lang yung napapanood ko sa TV. Ilalagay mo yung sisngsing sa inumin ng babae. (I don't know much aside from what I have seen on TV. You'll put the ring on your girl's drink.)
Guy 2: Sa drinks? Baka naman mabilaukan yun, malunok. (In her drinks? What if she gets choked, or swallows it?)
And then I laughed. Good thing is I have my cell phone in one hand, I guess they never thought I was laughing because of what they just said.
Anyhoo, here are some ways on how to do it right (I guess).
This is what excites me most in this list:
45. Write her/him a story about your relationship. Almost like a diary with dates if possible. Then end it with the date you are going to give it to him/her telling how you proposed and that the story can't be ended until you have the answer.
Because not all guys are fond of writing. Having him write all your shared memories is 100% marrying material. Not only that he remembers the occasions, but the DATES as well. You can be sure that anniversaries and birthdays (yours and his, relatives' and friends' and special people in your married life) will never be forgotten
I just hope that Guy 1 was able to find the nicest, if not the best, way to propose marriage. This would only happen once (unless the girl didn't accept the proposal) so why not make the most creative way, right?
Happy Valentines!
